As a child I was fascinated by The Bermuda Triangle and all the ships and planes that were mysteriously lost there. Television was filled with shows about the Triangle and what could possibly cause the disappearance of so many object and people. The movie Close Encounters featured Navy Flight 19 and its pilots. For a short period The Bermuda Triangle was everywhere. Books, magazines, news paper articles, TV shows, in movies, everywhere. And, then it just faded away from pop culture much the same way things disappear in the Bermuda Triangle.
These six works on paper are of some of the more famous ships and planes that have vanished within the last 100 years. The subjects are blurred and distorted as though being revealed through an unknown device with low signal strength. As though the image is being broadcast from another dimension or the other side of the galaxy.
Images are 24x24 inches on 30x 30 inch sheets of 200gsm archival paper. Each is signed and titled on the reverse side. The original file has been struck making each of these a one of a kind work on paper that is not reproducable.
